London and South East economy hit hardest by Brexit

In what has to be viewed as ironoc it seems that London and the South East are hardest hit by the vote to leave the EU. Considering London voted to remain it is certainly worthy of at least a rye smile.

A survey by Lloyds of purchasing managers suggests most regions of Britain saw a decrease in business activities in July with London and the south east being worst hit. It is apparently the first occasion since 2012 that this has happened in the south east.

It was not a uniform picture of gloom however as the East midlands and east Anglia showed a still positive growth, although slowing.

The effects of Brexit remain uncertain but it will be an interesting few months.
